Our Environmental Services range from compliance to assessment.

Our Laboratory provides full-service analytical testing specializing in nutrient, inorganic and microbiological methodologies. Committed to quality control, we provide highly accurate results through the use of state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation and certified methodologies. RMBEL is certified by the Minnesota Department of Health.

Our Field Services department provides a wide variety of on-site monitoring. Using leading technology, our staff performs on-site sample collection of soil and waters, as well as field measurements of both ground and surface waters. We also provide in-home sampling to meet the growing awareness of drinking water standards.

Our Consulting and Data Management staff provides our clients with the resources necessary to develop and implement monitoring programs, as well as, assess and interpret data to answer questions relating to their environmental concerns.

RMBEL takes great pride in our statewide Lakes Monitoring Program that was developed to provide an inexpensive, user-friendly means for citizen lake managers to characterize and track the productivity of their lake. All data is tracked in our online reporting database and submitted to STORET at the end of each year. We offer many options for stream assessments and monitoring program development and implementation. For TMDL studies, we offer quality laboratory analysis and field services. For Mass Balance Studies, we offer everythign from analysis to loading calculations and reports. Our support staff is available to help you develop simple to broad-based monitoring programs. Our Freshwater Ecology staff provides Volunteer Training to monitoring programs statewide. Over 700 volunteers are trained yearly by our staff. Volunteers are then equipped with knowledge and supplies to collect lake and stream samples. For more information, please contact one of our staff.
